Categories of Memberships


Categories:

 1.      General Member

 

·         Three years of engagement of emotional well-being experience or equivalent prior to applying and,  

·         Has Bachelor, Master’s or equivalent degree related in emotional well-being/mental health field

·         Practising in the field of emotional well-being and metal health

·         Has voting rights.

·         Receives the full benefits of the Institute.

·         Abide by the EWBI ‘Code of Ethics and Professional Practice’

 

 

2.      Fellow Member

 

·         Satisfies the requirements in 1 and,

·         Has a doctoral qualification (PhD or Professional Doctorate)

·         Has demonstrated five or more years of achievements in emotional well-being or in closely associated disciplines and published at least 10 papers in the professional field.

 

3.      Lifelong Member

 

·         Satisfies the above criteria with at least 20 years’ experience OR

·         Made a significant monetary, social, capital or similar contribution to the EWBI.

 

4. Honorary Member

 

·         Has a doctoral qualification (PhD or Professional Doctorate)

·         Has published significant numbers of research papers in peer review Journals.

·         Globally recognised for research contributions in the field of the expertise

·         Demonstrated evidence of international leadership and or collaboration

·         Commitment to support EWBI activities

 

 

    5. Organisation Membership  

 

·         United Nations ECOSOC organisation, Professional Organisations, community NGOs are eligible to apply.

·         Educational Establishments or Tertiary Education Bodies in the filed of emotional wellbeing and mental health.

 

6.    Corporate Membership

 

·         Corporate organisations are eligible to apply for membership.

·         Willingness to promote Emotional Well-Being through donations, activities and scholarships/fellowships.

 

Fees structure of membership categories

 

Membership Annual Fees (Australian dollars)

 

1. General member      50 (per calendar year)

2. Fellow member 100 (per calendar year)

3. Lifelong member Fees Exemption

4. Honorary member                                          Fees Exemption

5. Organisational  membership 500 (per calendar year)

6. Corporate  membership 700 (per calendar year)


 

Voting rights

. Annual membership fee must be paid 30 days prior to expiry date.

. Members in Category 3, 4, 5 and 6 have no voting rights.

 

Application for membership Process:

·         Application forms for  memberships are available from the EWBI Offices or online

·         Completed Forms are assessed by membership committee and approved by EWBI Board

·         Applicants will be notified within 3 months after the application is submitted.

·         The application processing fee is payable on submission of the completed application form

Withdrawal of application

·         Applicant may withdraw their application at any time

·         Applicant must notify in writing the withdrawal of their application.

·         No monies will be refunded.

·         Any monies owing to EWBI must be paid prior to withdrawal.

·         Members can request a testimonial when withdrawing from EWBI.

Loss of ongoing membership

A membership can be cancelled/terminated by the Board based on the reasons:

·         Member fails to comply with the requirements and obligations of EWBI.

·         Any serious infringements with the aims and objectives of EWBI

·         Membership fees lapsed for more than 12 months.

·         Member can withdraw the membership by applying in writing to the EWBI

·         Any member who loses membership or voluntarily withdraws membership must pay all dues owing to the EWBI.

·         Members can appeal to the Board of EWBI to be reinstated.
